5 Tips To Follow On Valentine’s Day When You Are Single
For those in love, Valentine’s Day is a time to reflect on your relationship and remember all the reasons why you love each other.
However, if you find yourself alone come February 14, you probably view the holiday a bit differently. But just because you don’t have someone special to share it with, doesn’t mean that the day itself can’t be special.
Here are 5 ways to do so:
1. Do Something Your Ex Hated.
Did your ex hate eating heavy foods even though you loved it? Or did they roll their eyes every time you turned whenever you listening to Shatta Wale’s song? Did they ask you not to wear six-inch heels?
If there was ever anything that you did less of in your last relationship, then spend your entire day doing it! Eat the heavy food and blast the Shatta Wale songs and rock those stilettos.
2. Host A Singles-Only Dinner Party.
Invite all your favorite single people and toast to your independence.
3. Treat Yourself
Treat yourself to a haircut, blowout, beauty treatment, or massage.
4. Take Yourself Out To Eat At Your Favorite Restaurant.
Sit at the bar and splurge on dessert.
5. Stay Off Social Media.
Facebook-stalking your ex to see how they’re celebrating with their new S.O. is not going to make you feel happy or confident.
6. Love Yourself.
Do whatever makes you happy! Cut yourself some slack. Remind yourself that you are lovable and worthy of love.
