Ghana Records 52 Coronavirus Cases Plus Man Dies From New Hantavirus In China
Ghana’s coronavirus confirmed cases are now at 52.
The information was confirmed this morning by the Ministry of Information in a press briefing a short while ago and this comes barely a day after the country recorded 2 deaths.
With 52 confirmed cases and two dead now, that leaves Ghana with 50 confirmed cases and according to the Ministry of Health, the remaining 50 are still receiving treatment.
In another post by the Ministry of Health, they mentioned that in regards to contact tracing, a total of 598 contacts have been identified and are being tracked for a possible coronavirus.
Meanwhile, information coming in indicates that a new virus has killed a man in China.
Even as the coronavirus outbreak takes the world by storm, a number of other diseases are also rearing their ugly heads. Now, a man from China has tested positive for hantavirus.
China’s Global Times tweeted that the man from Yunnan Province died while on his way back to Shandong Province for work on a bus on Monday. The 32 other people on the bus were also tested for the virus.
