Kris Bryant, born Kristopher Lee Bryant, is an American athlete in baseball who is able to play the position of third baseman as well as an outfielder while playing baseball. He has a son named Kyler Lee Bryant.
- Kris began his amateur career in baseball at Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- In 2015, Kris was invited to spring training and was also called up to the majors by the Cubs.
In 2010, during the 18th round of the Major League Baseball(MLB) draft, Kris was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, however, he didn’t join them and instead chose to play in the college game with the San Diego Toreros baseball team at the University of San Diego.
In 2013, he was deemed to be among the top players available to be chosen by all teams. However, it was the Houston Astros, who had the first overall selection, that decided to scout him instead.
The result was for the Chicago Cubs to choose him as they had the second selection. Kris has signed with the Cubs to receive an incentive worth $6.7 million.
