Stonebwoy Appeals To Government To Legalize Weed In Ghana
In the last few years, there has been a surge in the debate on whether marijuana should be legalized or otherwise in Ghana.
The likes of Journalist Kwesi Pratt, the late Kofi Annan, John Dumelo, Blakk Rasta, Samini, Kwaw Kese, etc have all called on the government to change its stance on the legalization of marijuana.
The latest to add his voice is Reggae/Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.
According to the highly respected dancehall star, it makes complete sense for the substance to be legalized, especially due to its medicinal use.
“I believe decriminalizing it makes sense [Especially] for medical usage,”
“Those [Countries] that have done that have rules towards it. Imagine it will [be] very unfair that when you handle something in a form of drugs not only marijuana and you are using it for medical purposes yet you are arrested, I believe it isn’t fair, the reason I believe it should be looked at…”
Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM, Stonebwoy said it makes complete sense for the legalization of weed to happen in Ghana.
